From May 8th to 10th, 2025, the 42nd INC World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress, a highly anticipated event in the global nut industry, was held at the Palma Conference Center on Mallorca, Spain. Ms. Chen Yuxiu, the Chairwoman of the Yunnan Macadamia Society (founder and CEO of YMAC), as a pioneer of Chinese macadamia industry, shared the development of Yunnan macadamia industry and insights with industry leaders, scientific research experts and international purchasers from over 60 countries around the world, highlighting the international influence of Chinese macadamia brands.
As the founder of Chinese macadamia industry, Ms. Chen Yuxiu led the entire process of Chinese macadamia industry from introduction to large-scale cultivation and then to industrial upgrading 32 years ago. Today, China holds an important position in the global macadamia supply chain. Yunnan, as the main production area in China, has a planting area of over 4.2 million mu and an annual output exceeding 100,000 tons, accounting for more than 20% of the global total output.
As a major consumption country of macadamia, China has seen a continuous release of demand for high-end healthy snacks, baking ingredients and deep-processed products. The macadamia industry has become an important economy pillar of mountainous regions such as Yunnan and Guangxi, injecting strong impetus into rural revitalization!
