Environmental adaptability of macadamia nuts
release time:
2022-02-11
Temperature has a great influence on macadamia nut plant growth, flower bud differentiation and flowering, immature fruit drop, fruit growth, yield and quality. Macadamia is more cold-resistant, young trees can tolerate low temperatures of -4°C, and the frost period is 7 days intact, while mature trees can tolerate short-term low temperatures of -6°C. The most suitable temperature for commercial production of macadamia is not more than 32℃ and not lower than 13℃. The growth of macadamia starts at a temperature between 10 and 15℃, and grows best between 20 and 25℃. Above 38°C, photosynthesis stops.
